Adam Simson completed his degree and PGCE at Bristol University. In 2004 he took up his first teaching position at a comprehensive school in the same city teaching maths and ICT. After two years he moved to New Zealand, worked in a large comprehensive school near the capital Wellington. Here he was heavily involved with many extra curricular activities and taught year 13 calculus. On his return to the UK in 2010 he joined a very exciting and innovative maths department in Westminster Academy, London. Mr Simson had many different roles within the department, including IB standard level teacher, key stage 3 coordinator and responsibility for the teaching and learning strategy. In his final year there he was the head of maths, managing a department of 17 teachers. The school was named the TES School of the year for the UK in 2013.
