FOBISIA Intermediate Music Festival

The inaugaral Intermediate Music Festival hosted by the British International School of Kuala Lumpur included a choir, orchestra and jazz band, which were led by renowned musicians Chi Hoe Mak, Eugene Pook and Scott Murphy.

192 students from eleven schools across South Asia took part in the event, which comprised of full rehearsals and sectionals and culminated in an impressive concert, beyond their intermediate playing level.

The students enjoyed other activities, including a trip to 'Jump Street' trampoline park and a Gamelan concert, performed by Malaysian fusion group, 'Rhythmn in Bronze'.

The festival was a success due to the positive attitude of all of the students and they, in return, saw their playing ability soar as well as making new friends and building on their confidence.

Thank you to all of the students and teachers that travelled to BSKL and we look forward to the next Intermediate Festival.
