School Admissions Policy
Admission to The British International School of Kuala Lumpur is selective. We are committed to achieving the highest levels of academic and personal attainment, seeking students who thrive in this rigorous and challenging learning environment.

We look for students who are all-rounders with strong academic potential, a positive attitude and an interest in extra-curricular activities. We are committed to ensuring our pupils gain access to top universities in the UK and worldwide or are able to continue their schooling at the highest level.

Contact us to arrange a personal tour of our campus
We welcome and encourage prospective parents to experience the school and its facilities first-hand. You can arrange for a private tour anytime by contacting our admissions department who will gladly show you around the campus and answer any questions you may have. You can also discuss application and enrolment should you wish.

In addition, we hold specific open days for Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form throughout the year for parents to visit and learn more about our curriculum.

How do I apply?
Applications for enrolment at the school must be submitted through our online application form. Parents unable to complete an application online alone can request assistance from the admissions team.

Together with the application form, parents will have to submit:
  • Copies of your child’s most recent school report
  • Application Fee
After the application has been submitted, a parent meeting and child assessment will be scheduled. The school aims to communicate the application outcome within a few days of the assessment date. Once everything has been approved, we will ask you to sign and return a copy of our Declaration Form.
